In 2023, I read 57 books, spanning a total of 19,386 pages. The average rating stood at 3.7, highlighted by five 5-star gems. The lowest rating was a modest 0.75. Approximately 87% of authors were female or non-binary, while only 13% were male.
My favourite books of the year were Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield, Alone With You in the Ether by Olivie Blake and Writers & Lovers by Lily King. My least liked were Fake Accounts by Lauren Oyler and The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
